  1. Welcome to version 1.1.2 of Europe Alive GUIDisc.

  4. Printing:
  5.  
  6. - To print maps, please make sure "Use System ID Palette" is 
  7.   selected in Preferences to ensure better print quality.
  8.  
  9. - To print graphics in a higher quality, capture the screen
  10.   image into the clip board and then paste it into a high
  11.   resolution graphics program.  Print the image from the graphics
  12.   program.
  13.  
  14. Sound:
  15.  
  16. - GUIDisc does not require a sound card, but to get the best 
  17.   benefit you should use a sound capable machine or sound card.
  18.  
  19. Video:
  20.  
  21. - GUIDisc is designed to run at 256 colors or above. However,
  22.   some video drivers cause memory errors. If this occurs, try
  23.   running the GUIDisc at 256 colors.
  24.  
  25. - If you use the DIAMOND Viper VLB video card, make sure the Viper 
  26.   video driver is version 1.05 or later. The previous versions 
  27.   of the drivers will give driver errors when executing GUIDisc.
  28.  
  29. - If you use the ATI Graphics Ultra Pro video card, make sure
  30.   the ATI video driver is build 67 or later.  The previous
  31.   versions of the drivers will give "out of memory" errors when
  32.   executing GUIDisc.
  33.  
  34. Memory:
  35.  
  36. - Low MCI Memory Suggestion:     
  37.     - Try closing other windows or tasks (ALT-Tab to check)
  38.     - Use Program Manager as the shell
  39.     - Use a generic video driver (like 8514)
  40.     - Have at least 580K of conventional memory available
  41.  
  42. Miscellaneous:
  43.  
  44. - It is necessary to have Video for Windows installed to run 
  45.   GUIDisc.
  46.   
  47. - If your system has Central Point PCTools for Windows Anti-Virus 
  48.   program in memory, GUIDisc will alert that the eugd.exe file 
  49.   has been modified. GUIDisc has no virus. GUIDisc works fine 
  50.   with Norton and Microsoft V6 anti-virus programs and will not
  51.   give an alert message.

  53. - To capture images, use the "PrintScreen" key or any other
  54.   commercially available screen capturing programs.
